I thought that was a fantastic idea, so I've been getting a preview of what's in the mail ever since.

The liquor lobby is strong in MD so I presume they bent the Governor's ear a bit, to keep them as essential. Or else that would be one more place with empty shelves, as the masses poured out to grab up all the booze they needed for the next year.bluzdudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05991272670722362652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-329507352453931374.post-548163569904834752020-03-27T07:33:36.398-04:002020-03-27T07:33:36.398-04:00That's pretty cool that you get an advance ema...That's pretty cool that you get an advance email about incoming mail. More people should do that so they don't have to exercise unnecessarily by going to mailbox for nothing.(lol) I enter contests, have lots of free magazine subscriptions and sign up for tons of freebies, so the mailbox and I are best friends. Even better, where we live there are 19 locked mailboxes, so hopefully that's a deterrent from people who don't want to do the right thing.. According to an article from AARP, the people who are eligible to receive the stimulus checks are people who filed taxes or those who get disability, so they'll use the IRS and Social Security Administration to send these checks or make deposits. But there are a lot of elderly people who only get EBT, or have no traditional income, or they're either waiting to be approved for disability or not disabled. Some people, including veterans, just don't have income, and there are people, including vets are homeless. I'm just afraid that many people will not receive these funds. My son is pulling his non-hair out trying to 'homeschool' daughter, and so are a lot of other parents. Teachers, like Sweetpea, are the experts when it comes to that stuff. Baltimore seems like it has a liquor store on every corner, versus here in NC where they have ABC stores. I think it's interesting that everyone talks about nonessential places being closed, and we can still go to grocery stores, but no one ever mentions liquor stores on the news(lol) have a friend who goes every single day to get his E & J Brandy, and that place always stays pretty packed. That same friend also works at a grocery store.(lol) Hugs to you guys! Easy pickin's. I think if people stealing Amazon packages are so prevalent, they can hit mailboxes too.

The neighborhood Sweetpea was shopping in was known for being populated with people that don't think the rules apply to them. I, as well, hope the retailers stand firm.bluzdudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05991272670722362652noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-329507352453931374.post-54235818029643459522020-03-24T05:56:32.659-04:002020-03-24T05:56:32.659-04:00McConnell would be a poor excuse for a Republican ...McConnell would be a poor excuse for a Republican if he couldn't figure out a way to turn covid-19 into a pretext for yet another giant cash give-away to corporations and the wealthy.

dudes following the mailman around (at a distance) so they can steal the checks as soon as they hit the mailbox

Sounds like a good way of getting shot. Lots of houses have more than one person living in them, so not seeing a car is not dispositive. And a lot more people are home all the time these days than usual.

The company that makes hydroxychloroquine has promised to donate millions of doses free if it turns out to be effective against covid-19. Of course, that's a non-US company. I don't know who makes losartan.

Last time I was in Safeway there was some person bitching at an employee about not being allowed to buy more than one package of paper towels (they were big packages, too). But the employee was sanding her ground. They need to do that or they'll never be able to get back to having stuff in stock. The crazed hoarders can't be allowed to make the problem even worse for everyone else.Infidel753https://www.blogger.com/profile/10965786814334886696noreply@blogger.com
