That's why they'll never see a playoff atmosphere like they have in The Burgh. I'm always shocked when people comment and say they've never been to a game before. I guess we've also been lucky always to live in proximity to a major league team. I can't IMAGINE the insanity of driving around here next year during SuperBowl week - especially since the highways aren't even finished. I left frigid Toledo, early Super Bowl Sunday with nothing but hopes, but snared a ticket before getting out of my rental. I actually paid $70. for a $40. ticket. Marie Lombardi was sitting near by too as they posthumously were inducting Vince. OJ & Ted Knbight were wearing their shiny Super Bowl Saturday Night jackets. Reggie McKenzie was O.J.'s body guard, at the game and on the gridiron.
I was able to share Super Bowl XXX with Ed as we arranged special business meetings. Tickets were $700. (scalp prices) and it was the only one we lost. Cleveland had just lost their franchise and Ed was battling with picketing Browns fans who were pissed about losing their teams. He shouted"you losers don't deserve a team, go home losers." Anyway somethings never change.
You did a good job describing Super Bowl XL. "We went to a Stones concert and a football game broke out" Great Blog Entry. You'll find yourself slapping 5s with complete strangers, wearing the same colors you are. And sometimes, when the circumstances are right, your people are the only ones left. At that point, you've just taken over enemy territory. "Bring me your finest meats and cheeses!"

Big ups to the Saints... I was proud of the way they got their act together after the 1st quarter and interfered with the pre-determined champions. I had tix to go to a few games, but sick kids and other obstacles prevented me from going.

I was psyched the Saints won last night. Big surprise. I also didn't want the Colts to win another one. Amazing someone in that town can write.
Cold, grime, piss poor planning aside, we had a ball at that Bowl.
They rounded up all the homeless and bussed them out of town for the weekend, best treatment those folks ever got from the city.Mary Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07436313849372588111noreply@blogger.com
